It seems as though I have upset a few ex-pats going by my latest reviews, one of them has never even given a review on any other book! I suppose when you open a can of worms about certain types of people they come out of the woodwork, so it goes with the territory.
I have a feeling it could be Clarissa, as many who have read my book have said they know one. On the upside I had a great days paid sales today, so strangely it has not affected the sales of my book.
My novel had the once over from a professional proof reader, so I feel it was fairly well edited, but hey who doesn’t make the odd mistake!
I better not give up the day job just yet.
Sadly you never know who’s going to come out of the woodwork. Bad reviews are part and parcel of authoring I’m afraid. Believe me, I know! Don’t let them get you down.
Thanks Steph
I remember thinking when I wrote the book that some people might not take to being stereotyped.
I had ten paid sales yesterday the most in one day, so unlike how I thought it’s seems to have done no harm.
Well, Steve, they do say there is no such thing as bad publicity! Looks as though this latest review has made more people want to read it in order to form their own opinion. You know how I feel about your book. As Steph says, don’t let the bad ones get you down!
Thanks for you support Lorna, I have to admit I had an uneasy day yesterday, but today I have turned it into a positive. The problem is that mud does stick sometimes, I never knew the world of publishing could have so many ups and down.
How is your little novel doing?
